image

Dessa Cooper is 31 years old and will be married to her husband Zac for 13 years this June. They have 5 children ranging in age from 11 to 2 (2 girls and 3 boys), which they homeschool. Dessa has a degree in midwifery, but she currently works from home as a health and fitness coach.
She enjoys gardening, raising chickens, canning, sewing, adventure, planting trees, competing in triathlons with her husband, and making good friendships with women who encourage her to serve the Lord with all she has.

Dessa will be sharing with us about the “hardest job ever,” looking at God’s Word to define who we are as wives and mothers. Join us at Mom2Mom on Tuesday, May 3rd from 6:15-8:00pm at First Baptist Church of Robinson (301 South Jefferson). All ladies are welcome, free childcare is provided.

April 19th: Kelly Garrard “Seeking Simplicity”

image

My name is Kelly Garrard and I was born and raised in Alton, IL, and met my husband at Eastern Illinois University. I joined the Bank One Management Training program in May 2003 and have been in banking ever since. After our second child was born, I am the one who wanted to make Robinson, IL, our family’s home and we moved here in January 2009. I currently am the Branch Manager for the Fifth Third Bank in Vincennes, IN. I am organizationally challenged by nature and began my quest to simplify in 2013. Since beginning my journey I have found many ways to simplify my daily life, I have successfully loosened the grip consumerism had on me since my childhood, and I have shed more than 10,000 items from my home. A key part of my success has been connecting with like-minded people on Facebook who have kept me motivated along the way. I have not yet reached the vision I have for my ideal state, but I am proud of what I have achieved thus far and am honored to impart what I have learned with all of you.

Join us for Mom2Mom on Tuesday, April 19th from 6:15-8:00pm at FBC Robinson (301 South Jefferson). All ladies are welcome, free childcare is provided for infants through elementary age kids.
