May 17th: Hannah Reid “Dangerous Faith”

My name is Hannah Reid, and although I wasn’t born there, I grew up in Robinson and consider it my hometown. My family moved to Robinson in 1987, when my dad retired from the Army and answered the call into Pastoral Ministry. Growing up the daughter of a Drill Sergeant turned Pastor was interesting to say the least! While church and faith was central to my life growing up, I was determined to never marry a Pastor, and did not desire to be in ministry. However, God had much different plans for my life than I did.

I graduated from Robinson High School in 2002. God had in fact called me into a life of ministry, which led me to attend Boyce College, the undergrad of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. My second semester there I met an amazing man named Trey Reid, and we were married on August 7, 2004. We have been in full time ministry our entire married life, serving in both Youth and Pastoral Ministry at churches in Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina, and Illinois.

My calling in life is to raise my two beautiful daughters, Callie (9) and Ashtyn (6) to the glory of God. I am a homemaker and I have been homeschooling my girls for 5 years now. Our days are filled with school lessons, dance classes, and lots of imagination. I am passionate about women’s ministry, and serve as the founder and Director of the Mom2Mom ministry at First Baptist Church of Robinson where my husband is the Senior Pastor.

While I live a blessed life for sure, it has not always been easy or perfect. I have struggled with anxiety and a chronic illness for most of my adult life. On May 17th I will be sharing some of my story, how God has worked in difficult circumstances and disappointments, and how through it all He has challenged me to have a dangerous faith.

Join us for Mom2Mom on Tuesday, May 17th from 6:15-8:00pm at FBC Robinson (301 South Jefferson). All ladies are welcome, free childcare is provided.
